A Very Stitchy Weekend

Ahhh what a great weekend I had for stitching. I managed to stitch a few hours each day and enjoyed myself thoroughly. I would have stitched lots more today but my DH and I went out to eat and we went to Barnes and Nobles and Target to do some shopping. (which was lots of fun too)

Here is what I did this weekend....

This is my Prairie Schooler Winter Wind SAL. I still have one more line to stitch to complete part 1. Will do that tomorrow.

These next 2 pictures are of my Mystery Sampler. I received page 7 on Friday and completed stitching it this weekend. It was so much fun. The part I stitched is the start of a beautiful medallion motif. I just love the way it looks, but will have to wait till I get the page 8 and then page 13 to finish that medallion. Can't wait.

This last picture is Blackbirds Garden of Life SAL piece. It started on the 10th and I have 10 more days to complete the first section before I move on to section 2. I love the colors on this piece.

I bought myself a couple new cds, and 2 new books. One is a knitting book. I have wanted to learn how to knit for a very long time and I found this great book that I hope can teach me. It has nice pictures and diagrams, now to find time to use it.

Then next I bought this cookbook. Recently I got a brand new Crock pot that I really love. I have had them before but got tired of them collecting dust. Now I have discovered the fine art of slowcooking. What fun. I have already made a few really nice stews in it. With this cookbook I plan on getting a lot of use of that crockpot. I managed to look through it this evening and some of the recipes are look great. Even recipes for bread. In a crockpot?? Amazing!!!

Your WIP's look great, Sharon. Garden of Life has the prettiest colours in it. I'm at around the same spot as you are!

Your stitching looks great! I'm getting back into crockpot cooking again--I threw away my old one from years and years ago, but friends tell me it's different and better now, so I'll give it another go. Looks like a great cookbook to try.
