Thank you all so much for the lovely comments on Moon Garden. How kind you all are. I brought it to the framers yesterday and it will be done in a week. Can't wait to see it. I want it for my bedroom, its such a pretty piece.
Last night I had another finish, need to take a picture. I finished the 1st square in Village of Hawk River Run, I think thats the name of it. LOL I just have been calling it the village. I am so happy that I used the NPS (silks) for this beautiful piece by Carriage House Samplings. The silks just make the colors jump out at you. My dear friend Siobhan uses them a lot and recommended them to me. I just love them. They are a little expensive but they are such a pleasure to stitch with. I see lots more silks in my future. KaChing-KaChing.

As some of you know I have been sick these past weeks with pneumonia. I am feeling much better today, still have a wicked cough but at least I feel like getting out and about so thats good. Thank Goodness. I hate being sick. Thank you all for your well wishes. This blog has been so wonderful to me, I have made so many new dear friends. What a great idea blogging is. I love seeing what everyone is working on and how they decorate their homes with stitching. So much fun.

I got the brand new Gingher Glory Scissors today in the mail and they are gorgeous. I need to stitch a pretty red, white and blue fob to go with them. I just love them. I also got a new leaflet but don't want to tell you about it because I am stitching it for a friend and I don't want her to find out, it is nice though. I am expecting a little more stash in the mail, hopefully it will arrive tomorrow. I am in a biscornu swap and I ordered a lovely pattern to stitch for my partner, hope it arrives tomorrow so I can get working on it.

Today my oldest daughter and her husband sold their very first home. They have lived in it since they are married 5 years ago. They wanted a bigger home and found one a few months back. They couldn't wait so they bought it and so the past couple months they have been paying mortgages on both and I know they were anxious to get their first home sold. I will miss that house, it was a lovely little ranch home in Virginia. Now they have a beautiful red brick home, much bigger and they are having so much fun decorating. I am so happy for them. She lives so far away from us but it doesn't seem like it since we talk all the time. She just drove home for Mothers Day and we had a wonderful time but it went too fast. We will probably drive down to visit them this summer for a few days.

I am so glad that its the weekend and we are supposed to have lousy weather all weekend. I am thrilled. LOL I don't mind the bad weather at all, maybe I can get lots of hours of stitching in. thats my idea of a fun weekend. It seems like every weekend there is always something to do, some running around or cleaning, etc. I don't want to do any of those things. I want to plop myself down, and just stitch away, now doesn't that sound wonderful. I will take the time to take some pics tomorrow of my new stash and my Village. Can't wait to share it with you all.
Good night xoxoxox

Hello Sharon, what a nice newsy post! Isn't it true that we stitchers don't mind the rain at all because it gives us an excuse to stitch for hours. :)

Moon Garden is absolutely stunning. Congrats on SUCH a lovely finish. I can't wait to see it framed.

And Village will be a great project - I have enjoyed seeing various progress pics on other people's blogs.

I live far away from my mom, too, and it is hard not to be close. Their new home sounds really nice.

Glad you are feeling better. Oh and I have a little secret for you- I have been stitching for you for the last couple of days! Can't wait to send you my Pif (at last!).

Sharon-Wish some of your rain would head our way. We need it big time. It also takes away the guilt from wanting to stay in and stitch the day away! Congratulations on your DD selling her house finally. It had to be rough having two mortgages. YIKES! Can't wait to see your finished Block 1 on VoHRH.

I'm so sorry to hear that you have been poorly, but I'm glad that you are feeling much better again. Take it easy and take care of yourself.

I live a long way from my mum too and I do miss seeing her, but we chat a lot on the phone.
