A Pair and a Pear

I have started a pair of wonderful quakers. One is the 2008 Quaker Mystery and the other is Quaker Christmas. I got to work on both a few hours each this past weekend and loved everyminute of it.
Here are two progress pictures:

The top one I am using DMC 815 on 32ct vintage country mocha and its just fabulous to stitch on. Like stitching on butta they say. :)
The next one is done on 28ct French Country Cashmere, the color that the chart calls for, and its by Wichelt. Its lovely but not my favorite to stitch on. I am enjoying it but I find the threads a little wobbly in it. I love the green I am using there., It's Balsam Fir by CC, also what the pattern calls for.
Last week, while going through my evergrowing stash I came across this Little House Pear design and I recalled how much I loved it when I bought it. I had started it on one fabric and I was not too thrilled with it so I decided to start it again on 32ct Vintage cream. I couldn't put it down. It was just so much fun to stitch. I love how the colors look. I have started a backstitch around it so that I can finish it myself in a little pillow. I am in love with Pears. Since I made my dining room curtain with pear fabric I have just been loving to decorate my home pears so much. I am working on a kitchen curtain now and am planning on a few more designs that I have with pears in them. Here is my little pear:

Good to see you posting again Sharon :o)

What Quaker mystery is that???? I love the look of both projects :o)

Are you going to make a mattress pillow with your pear? It's so cute!

Ever growing stash is a problem I am determined to tackle this year! :)

Love your pear and will look forward to see how you use it in your kitchen. Quaker Christmas is very pretty and you have a great start. I am resisting all tempation to start this since my BP sampler is still in the works.

Hugs ~
