I finished this Blackbird treasure and just love how it came out. This box I found at a yard sale awhile back, I paid no more then $1.00 for it. I knew it was a treasure, it had a little knick inside and the cover on it was very worn but I just knew that someday I would find a use for it. Tulips and Stars were perfect for it. I laced it to the cover and voila. I love how it came out. The colors are just so pretty. While looking at the box I realized it has kind of antique hardware inside, the hinge is a very old hinge. I wonder how old it is. I like to think it belonged to some nice lady who enjoyed keeping her special things inside and that she would be happy with how I covered it. Now I will keep my things inside and maybe someday my granddaughter will enjoy it.
