Some Saturday Stitching & Snacking & Sharing

Most of the stitching for these two items was started awhile back but finally I managed to finish them up and put a dent on a couple other baby items. I will share pics of those this week. The top Floss Tag was for a swap and the recipient's favorite color is blue. I used the dmc blue variations on it, I hope she lkes it. The second picture is one of the bibs I made for my new grandson.
Okay I love Charles Craft items but this bib has to be the nicest baby bib I have ever stitched on. It is so soft and snuggly perfect for a baby. I also bought another bib and towel to match and they are so cuddly too. I can't wait for baby to use them. The company that makes them is from Brazil and now they are making lots of other things too and they are being sold in the US. I can't wait to get some more of their items. It is the Dohler Crafts line and they are brought here by STS Crafts or www.stscrafts.com and can be purchased there but Dohler has their own site and I went there yesterday looking around and they have a lot of freebies on there. Some really cute items. Its under embroidery, I printed out about a dozen little designs for children and I love them all.
Before I started stitching yesterday I decided to treat myself to these delicious applesauce puffs. I found the recipe on one of the blogs that I visit. I can't remember which one but I am sure I will find it again and thank her for making me a glutton! LOL Yes they are every bit as tasty as they look. So YUMMY. They sure went fast.

APPLESAUCE PUFFS
2 cup Biscuit mix
¼ cup Sugar
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
½ cup Applesauce
¼ cup Milk
1 Egg, slightly beaten
2 tablespoon oil
2 tablespoon Melted butter (or margarine)
¼ cup Sugar
¼ teaspoon Cinnamon
Combine biscuit mix, 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tsp of cinnamon. Add applesauce, milk, egg and oil; beat well for 30 seconds. Fill greased muffin pans 2/3 full. Bake at 400 degrees for 12 minutes. Cool slightly and remove. Combine 1/4 cup of sugar and 1/4 tsp of cinnamon. Dip tops of muffin into butter and then into sugar-cinnamon mixture. ENJOY!!

Did you get your Ornie Issue yet? I got mine and I am thrilled with it, I know a few friends are a bit disappointed in it but I am not. I always enjoy it. There are quite a few in there that I want to stitch. Once the ornie issue comes out you know the Holidays are not far off. I have loads of ornaments to stitch this year and I am looking forward to starting on October 1st some serious Christmas Stitching.

This past week has been a very busy week. 2 birthdays and a visit from my daughter and son in law from Virginia. We had such a great few days together. I wish it didn't go so fast but our visits always do. There is never enough time to spend with your baby is there? We had a lot of fun though.

Officially Thursday was my granddaughters birthday and I made some cupcakes for her class. Pretend you can't see the missing one. LOL

To finish off our very busy week and to start a new one, we have a plumbing problem. We don't exactly know whats wrong besides the fact that we have no water. I don't know if its the well or the pump or the pressure tank but just saying those words each ones rings a Ka Ching Ka Ching in my ear. UGHH!! It happened before and it was the pressure tank and we had it replaced so I am not sure now what's going on. I just hope our plumber calls us back soon. After all it is Sunday evening and we can't start the week off unbathed. LOL
