New Dishes
I have loved these dishes for a long time but since I have so many dishes I didn't buy them, I just dreamed of the day all my other dishes would break and I would have to buy these. LOL I think they are so pretty. They are from Phaltzgraff and they are called Pistoulet. 2 good friends of mine Siobhan and Melissa have them already and they love them too so I just thought someday someday. Last year Siobhan and I went to a Phaltzgraff outlet and I bought a couple small pieces to start my collection off.
Well the wonderful news is that I am now the owner of service for 8. A gift from my daughter Jennifer and her husband Shawn. What a treat. I am so thrilled, who would have thought dishes could make a person so happy. They are just so cheery and pretty. I spent the entire morning rearranging my cabinets for them. DH thinks we should save them for company and special dinner. Well, every day is a special dinner for us and I am going to enjoy them. I have good china that I have saved so long and I don't even like it anymore. LOL Nope these are going to get used plenty. Every meal will be even more wonderful on these happy dishes.
Thank you my children for giving me such a wonderful gift.
Here is Shawn and Jennifer:

Oh I love them, just my style and colors :) I have to google Phaltzgraff to learn a bit about them. The photo of the happy couple is so lovely :)
I just love these! How much you are loved by your children to give these to you - shows how special you are to them! I was sad to read about Molly's passing. You made her last few weeks happy and I am sure she died knowing she was loved and wanted! Susan in SC
Lovely dishes and even lovlier photo of your kids. I would enjoy the dishes everyday.
Great picture of Shawn and Jennifer! Enjoy your new dishes, mine are definitely everyday dishes. Just looking at them makes me happy and the chore of cooking a little more pleasant--if that's possible, LOL.
your "children" are beautiful, Sharon
hugs, Eva
How good of Jennifer and Shawn to buy you such lovely dishes. I agree to use them everyday life is too short for 'best' china!
Sharon what a beautiful gift and a lovely picture of your daughter and son-in-law. Jennifer looks just like her mother! She's beautiful. Bon Apetite!

Awww, those are some good kids! Congrats on your new dishes -- may they foster many happy meals :)
Enjoy your dishes, Sharon!! Definitely use them and enjoy. Life is too short and they are so pretty. I *almost* don't mind doing dishes when it's my Pistoulet that need to be put away! :)
Love the pic of Jen & Shawn, too! Tori has Shawn's eyes!!
I love that you are using your dishes - what a lovely gift from your sweet kids. Aren't dishes fun?
