just a little floss tossing!

A group of friends and I are starting Peppermint Twist as our 2009 SAL. I was tossing some floss to see if I could use something different besides what it calls for which is Wood Smoke. The first fabric is Belfast Vintage Country Mocha, and the second one is Bay leaf. OY I like them both. Decisions Decisions. Will have to think about it today because I am really anxious to start it. Its such a pretty chart. Maybe I need to look through my stash for something else. LOL
Here it is January and I am still finishing up Christmas gifts, I have some ornies to mail and a few other gifts that need to be done. This is one of them. A friend of mine Marie, who doesn't read my blog :)or even go near a computer...she loves blue and loves anything handmade so I thought I would make her these towels. They are so pretty and easy too.

some more tosses
this is just plain Khaki and I am not sure of the other colors name but its very Christmassy, a pretty green with specks of gold in it. Hmmmm

Maybe I just need to buy that WOOD SMOKE. LOL

I like both for this very pretty design. I can't wait to see what you go with.

Well, I'm not sure if you're wanting outside opinions, but I'm volunteering! They all look good, depending on your personal preferences, but the third fabric shot just jumped out at me - the Christmasy green with specks of gold. I think it is gorgeous with the floss! IMHO :)
And Christmas stitching is always good all year - love the towels!

I'm partial to the first and third choices! Can't wait to see what you decide!! I love the towels you're doing for Marie--I'm sure she'll be thrilled with them!

I like the Country Mocha but that green sparklie fabric is kind of nice too. I'm thinking I need to order the country mocha for me.

What count are you using?

Hi Sharon! I bought Peppermint Twist when it came out and so want to start it. But, it will have to wait since I'm busy trying to get a few other designs stitched first. I keep looking at it though, thinking how pretty little ornaments could be made with some of the designs just on their own.
Happy stitching,
Joanne

OMGoodness......... I forgot to mail the thread! Will pop it into the mail on my way to stitching tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon.

I like the first fabric for "Peppermint Twist".

Mine is being done on something a bit "taupey".
