I got an award from Carolyn at Carolyn's Stitching Chatter, thank you so much. Such a pretty one too. I have to nominate others but that is so hard to do since all my blogger friends are so Kreative. I nominate all of you. Thank you again, Carolyn, you are so sweet.
Look what I got, from my dear sister friend Melissa. She knows how much I love them Prairie Schooler Santas and she made this for me. I just love him. He is so handsome. I love how she added a button to the ribbon, so pretty. Thank you again, Melissa.

I have been working on the Worlds Above piece but not getting it done as fast as I hoped. I am enjoying it though. It is so pretty. My husband has been complaining that I never stitch anything for him. He is right. Hmmm except I did stitch a lovely Santa Christmas stocking for him years ago. Guess that doesn't count. LOL We have different tastes in most things. He is always looking at charts of animals like deer, bears, oh and birds like eagles, and mountain scenery, not to mention Indians. He loves indians. I love a good cowboy/indian movie but I don't think I want to stitch any indians. After many years of his whining how I never stitch for him, I have decided to surprise him and stitch something for him. The reason it is a surprise is because if for some reason I cannot finish it, I don't want to disappoint him. LOL Maybe I am being too negative. Here it is:

not a very good picture but it is sort of pretty and I know my husband will love it. There is not one tiny spot that is not covered with a stitch, so I thought I could do a square 10 stitches by 10 stitches every chance I get and it shouldn't take me too many years to do it. Who knows maybe I will enjoy it.
Have a good evening everyone. xoxoxox

Hi Sharon, I know just how you feel. My hubby complains about me always stitching samplers. His comment is "don't you know the alphabet yet?" He wants me to stitch nothing but pheasants! I have done a couple for him, and in a word, BORING!

Wow! That's an ambitious piece you're planning to stitch for your DH! Good luck with it! I much prefer your samplers myself. :D My son would like the things your husband does too though. He always likes the realistic pieces, not the boring stuff I do! lol!

Sharon, that is so sweet. You and I can do a little SAL with our Hubby Projects. I'll work on this dang Celtic Banner and you can work on that for Ray. We can cheer each other on.

Sharon, Ray will love this beautiful piece! Tom would love for me to stitch a horse. Maybe someday!

Sharon - Love the Santa that Melissa did for you. THe button is so cute, what a clever idea. I really must start stitching these Santas too! The eagle picture is beautiful. I know you will bring it to life! It's much too ambitious for me. :) I will live through your experienc of stitching. I can't wait to see it completed!

Congrats on the award! I love the Santa Pillow!!! Great progress on your current WIP, it is looking lovely! The piece you are wanting to do for hubby is just gorgeous, but I do understand where you are coming from! I think that if you do the 10 x 10 stitches that it won't be so bad. It is worth a try! And hey if it takes a year or two, then at least you are working on it!
